The Water Quality committee has started an aeration project to educate and assist homeowners to install aeration systems. Links to information on how to install aerators and a listing of aerators installed are below.
The increased oxygen from aeration breaks down organic materials that enter through the tide and boats. In addition to starving algae of nutrients, the increased flow from aeration discourages harmful algal blooms.
